Developing Ageing Policies in the MENA region

MENARAH seeks to enhance policy leadership in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) raboution to ageing and long-term care needs.

We regularly organise meaningful engagement activities to nurture connections across governmental, charitable, policy and older people and their representatives. Furthermore, MENARAH provides timely support to international agencies in developing policies and strategies specific to ageing in the region, including developing long-term care markets, pension reforms and healthy longevity.

The ultimate goal of the MENARAH network is to improve the quality of life of older people and their families in the region. Setting ageing policy priorities in the region is paramount to achieving such a goal. The engagement activities covered the UN Decade action areas of:

Combating Ageism
Age-Friendly Environments
Integrated Care
Long-Term Care
